Grants 101: An Introduction to Grants for Non-Profit Organizations
Community Meeting Room – Potsdam Civic Center
1-4pm, Wednesday, April 2, 2014
Pre-registration for the class is required. Please call or e-mail the Computer Center to pre-register: telephone (315) 265-7230 or e-mail email@example.com.
This three-hour class will provide an introduction to finding and applying for grant funds for your non-profit organization. It is designed to meet the needs of those who are interested in grants, but “don’t know where to start.” The class format will include a presentation, discussion and plenty of question and answer time, as well as some small group time for brainstorming. Topics include eligibility, presenting your needs, budget basics, organizing your application and “grant readiness.”
While the class is open to anyone interested, it is specifically designed as an introductory course and will be looking at funding from the perspective of non-profit organizations, rather than local government entities. There is no fee for the class, but pre-registration with the library by March 28, 2014 is required.
